Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

eShopBD is a checkout-link and mini-store platform. Sellers open stores here, and buyers order without creating an account. This policy explains in plain language what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can see or delete it. It applies to both sellers and buyers.

1. Information we collect

From sellers

  • Google account details: your name, email address and profile photo when you sign in with Google. We never see or store your Google password.
  • Store details: store name, store link, logo, mobile number, bio, delivery charges, categories, and your Meta Pixel ID (if you add one).
  • Product details: names, prices, descriptions and photos.
  • Feedback: the rating and message you send from Settings, along with your store name and email.

From buyers

  • Order details: name, mobile number, district, area, address, note (if you write one), and the products you ordered.
  • IP address: recorded with each order to block fake and automated orders.

Buyers don't need an account, and we don't collect any online payment details (cards or mobile banking). All payments are Cash on Delivery.

2. How we use information

  • To run sellers' accounts and stores, and show store and product pages to buyers.
  • To pass each order to the seller it was placed with, so they can call to confirm it and deliver it.
  • To prevent fake orders, spam and abuse.
  • To provide support and tell sellers about important changes to the platform.
  • To understand how often pages are visited, so we can improve the platform.

We do not sell your information, and we don't show ads on eShopBD.

3. Who can see your information

  • The seller: a buyer's order details are visible only to the seller of the store the order was placed with. The seller may share them with a courier to deliver the order.
  • Buyers: a store's name, logo, bio and products are public, and so is the seller's mobile number if the seller chooses to show it.
  • Service providers: Google (sign-in and Google Analytics), Meta (Facebook Pixel), and our server and hosting providers — only as much as each needs to do its job.
  • Legal requests: a court or government authority, when required under the laws of Bangladesh.

4. Sellers' responsibility for buyer information

Each store is run by an independent seller. Once a seller receives an order, they are responsible for how they use the buyer's information — calling the buyer, sending the parcel by courier, keeping records. Sellers must use it only to deliver the order and for related communication, and must not sell or misuse it. This is part of our Terms.

5. Cookies, local storage and tracking

  • Sign-in cookie: a session cookie keeps sellers signed in. The dashboard can't work without it.
  • Cart: a buyer's cart is kept only in their own browser (local storage) and is never sent to our servers.
  • Google Analytics: overall counts of how often pages are visited.
  • Meta Pixel: there are two kinds. eShopBD's own pixel runs only on the homepage and the seller dashboard. If a seller adds their own Pixel ID, it runs only on their store, product and order confirmation pages, so the seller can see in their Facebook ads reports when someone views a product or places an order. A buyer's name, phone number or address is never sent through these pixels.

You can turn off Analytics and the Pixel with your browser settings or an ad blocker; ordering will still work normally. You can also control how Facebook shows you ads from the Ad Preferences in your Facebook account.

6. How long we keep information

  • Seller account, store and product details — for as long as the account is active.
  • Order details — for as long as the seller's account exists, because they are part of the seller's business records.
  • The short-term counts of IP addresses and phone numbers used to block fake orders are deleted automatically after a few minutes.
  • When we receive a request to delete an account, we delete the store, products and orders within 30 days. Only what the law requires us to keep may be kept longer.

7. Security

All information travels encrypted over HTTPS. Sign-in is through Google, so we don't hold any passwords. Each seller can see only their own store's data. Still, no system on the internet is 100% secure — if you notice a problem, please tell us right away.

8. Your rights

  • Ask what information we hold about you.
  • Correct wrong information — sellers can change most of it themselves from Settings in the dashboard.
  • Ask us to delete your account and information.
  • Withdraw consent you gave earlier, at any time.

To do any of this, email rakibuzzaman.contact@gmail.com. Sellers should write from the email they sign in with, so we can confirm the request is really theirs. Buyers should include their order number and mobile number. To change or cancel an order, the fastest way is to contact that seller directly.

9. Children

You must be at least 18 years old to open a seller account. Anyone under 18 should place orders with a parent's or guardian's permission. If we learn that we have received a child's information by mistake, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when needed. If there is a significant change, we will tell sellers by email or in the dashboard, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change.

11. Contact

For any question or complaint about privacy, email rakibuzzaman.contact@gmail.com. For other help, see the Support page.
